Happy Birthday to me!! (Why it says Thursday, I don't know, but my B-day is today Jan. 23rd)

Yes, I am going to toot my own horn. I am very excited to be alive and well (well the best I can do) on my birthday. 32 years old. I believe I was born sometime in the afternoon. My mother was getting a little sad on me the other day when she took me to my doctor appointment. Yes, my mother took me to my appointment because I can't drive a car yet and she was the only one that could take me. I know nobody around this town and plus the appointment is about 45 minutes away.

I am just happy to be alive today. I am going to enjoy this day with a free sundae and a free car wash. Even though it's only going to be like 23 degrees today, fuck it. My car needs washing. So much salt on that bad boy. Actually both cars need washing pretty badly.

So, I am going to soak up this special day with 3 live recordings from 1977 by some really awesome bands: Grateful Dead (best year was 1977), Allman Brothers and Led Zepplin. The closets show I have to the day I was born was the Allman Brothers show (1/28/77). I was at that time in Rochester, MN at the greatest hospital in the country, Mayo Clinic. Presidents and famous people go to this hospital because it is rated the best in the country.

I was considered a miracle child and it took many hours to operate on me, spent over a month in the hospital. I was rushed to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, which was over an hour away from La Crosse. Doctor said that was the biggest birth surgery he's ever done and look at me now. I am happy, healthy and ALIVE.

So, I will go on with my sleep here and wake up to a sunny day I hope. Actually it's not suppose to be, it's suppose to snow a little bit and be cold. Mom said it was like 20 below when I was born (that's coming on Saturday). We are going to Madison to stay at the Concourse Hotel on the Capital Square. Got it on Priceline (nice plug) for $45 dollars. The room is going for $149 dollars on Saturday night. Bought tickets to see Sweeney Todd the musical at the Overture Hall and before that we are going out for dinner at one of Madison's best new restaurants called Dayton Street Grille. The chef was rated the best local chef in Madison. We've stayed at this hotel before. I got a Governor Jacuzzi Suite one time for our Anniversary. Boy did that set me back, but it was well worth it. It's right on the square, you can see the capital from your room. The winter time makes it gorgeous around there with the lights.

So....big day....big weekend as well.
